First Muph complete If it don’t challenge you it won’t change you. I only set my clients what I’m willing to do or can do, so because I set this for a client yesterday it was only right I did it myself today. Fresh week, fresh mindset. 🧠 . . Last week, I was worrying a lot about my fitness account and what I want others to get from it and how to achieve that. 🤯 . . Instead of taking a step away from the endless scrolling, I've done nothing but compare myself to the other fitness accounts on my feed, only thinking "well I'm not like that so it mustn't be for me", "I'm not interesting or inspiring like her, why have I got this account", "I didn't get much engagement on that post, it's because I'm shit", completely forgetting why I created this account in the first place, letting the imposter syndrome take over! 😣 . . Over the weekend I decided to take a step away from social media a little, not filming any of workouts and trying not to worry about posting much all 🙌 . . Now we're starting a new week, it's time for a new mindset. I'm going to try and limit my time on social media from now on, avoiding posting for the sake of it and only uploading decent, useful content that truly represent ME . . It’s crazy to see how far I’ve come myself. From struggling to get 5 reps to easily repping out 10 as my warmup still seems crazy to me. One thing I did notice about pull-ups is not a lot of people can perform this exercise, so knowing that I am one of the elite to be able to do this exercise is an awesome feeling. I was that kid looking around at the gym wishing I was able to have the strength to doing this exercise and now that I am able to handle pull-ups it’s now time to make them harder 😈 For anyone else wanting to learn how to do a pull-up. Saw this mace 360 variation from @coachingshore and gave it a try today - feels great. 😁 Using a 12 kgs mace in the video. Spent all of my session working with a mace and doing pull-ups: weighted into bodyweight (8-10 weighted 20 kgs into 8-10 bodyweight ) - a great way to improve reps.

☀️ Early Morning Abs, Pull Ups & Squat Mobility. _ I wake up around 5:30/6am daily and hit the gym. _ Majority of the time it’s to get on that grueling stair master (fasted ) to burn my usual 300 calories @ around 20mins 💦. . Today I decided I wanted to work on my abs, back and squat mobility. I’m trying to build that wide ass thick back and slim waist. I’ll be doing a few physique shows next year so I have to be looking “like an action figure” - @silvasurfa_ 😂. _ Lastly I’m going to keep working on my squat mobility and coordination so I could prepare for hitting those 4 plates on my back squat . The goal is getting back to 405 lbs before the year ends. Everyone has their own little puzzle to solve in this crazy world. The array of different stresses and catastrophes people experience every second of every day are immeasurable . So it is vitally important find time in your day to just align your thoughts, face your demons and strategize. To be completely aware of oneself , you need to be separate yourself from the distractions . Sometimes I write poems , or edit videos or just lie on my bed and look at the ceiling . All those methods are impactful towards my personal growth . But going into the gym is a whole different story . You are literally at war with yourself , voluntarily. The waking up early when other people aren’t, the voices telling you to do less reps each set because your tired , the moments you feel like you have not developed . That time for me in the gym is more critical for the brain then anything . Pushing yourself to the limit. Sticking to the program no matter how you feel. I used to avoid overhead bars at all costs. My thinking: “I can’t do pull-ups. Why bother?” 🌟 I know it’s tempting to stick to what you know. But trust me, going out of your comfort zone will boost your gym confidence. 🎯 That’s why my gym goal for 2020 was to be able to perform pull-ups. Then COVID happened, and I lost my progress. But I have not given up. I have started over again. 🌟 In terms of benefits, pull-ups give you stronger back, arms, and shoulders. They also help to improve your grip and wrist strength. How to get there? 💪🏻 Start with the fundamentals. Just hang from an overhead bar. This is called dead hangs. This exercise offers the grip and strength benefits of pull-ups, plus a good stretch. 💪🏻 To make things more exciting, I usually do hanging knee raises because it’s a fantastic ab workout too. ❤️ How about you, guys?
