#entrainement #maison #postpartum #workout #nouvellemaman #active #prof

This is my body. This is my body after having a baby, gaining 80 lbs AFTER that baby resulting in being 330 lbs for years. This is my body after losing a pregnancy, after being diagnosed with PCOS, after having our rainbow baby and losing 40 lbs while pregnant because of hyperemesis. This is my body at 246 lbs. I've lost 84 lbs since July of 2018. I've done it naturally. That type of weightloss doesn't come without some permanent friends: Stretch marks, tons of loose skin, body dysmorphia... But this is my body. This is real life. This body gave me two beautiful boys. This body now has the energy to be the mom my boys deserve. I'm not where I *think* I'd be comfortable at quite yet, but I'm light years away from where I began. I love this body ❤️

#Postpartumweightloss - Insta vs. Reality❤️ . I’m Not where I’d like to be. After I first had Kaiya, I lost weight so quickly. I felt good about how I looked. . Then as the weeks went on it changed. The stress of breastfeeding & all the complications that come with it had me crying, feeling frustrated, wanting to give up & sore! It feels like there’s little time to do anything else other than feed; Sleep, eat, cook, clean 🤪 . Sleep... it’s not that I don’t get any sleep. But 2 hr spurts of sleep just isn’t the same as a solid 8 hrs. So I feel groggy & lazy a lot. . Eating has been challenging. Some evenings we’re both so tired we’ll just order a pizza🍕 Eating healthy has been a challenge. Some days I’m just trying to eat 3 meals to keep up my milk😖 . The only thing I look forward to is my morning coffee. It’s not the caffeine, it’s the warm creaminess that I’m emotionally addicted to. But it bloats me so bad!!! It doesn’t help I usually drink it on an empty stomach. But I just can’t give it up. . Exercise - I’m waiting for my OB appt. to be cleared to start working out again. I’ve been trying to go for long walks once a day. Being outside is so good for my mental health. . Stress, sleep spurts, no exercise... coffeebloat, back fat, floppy arms. It’s all totally worth it. She’s so amazing. I don’t know if I’ll ever get the body I want again. And I’m working on being ok with that. . I don’t want to be unhealthy or to live an unhealthy life. But I don’t want to obsess about my weight & hate myself because I don’t have a flat stomach or look instaworthy. I have to find a happy medium. . By no means does this post invite your advice or send a dm to offer your services. . I think as women we hate our bodies too much because of what we see in media. Young & skinny is NOT the only version of beautiful, pretty, sexy, strong or powerful. We need to give ourselves permission to love our bodies at every shape & size & not be in a constant quest to get to the next size down. . It took having a baby at 44 for me to really understand this. I’m committed to changing my own mindset and to my body, weight, shape & size on this healing journey to love myself for realz💖

It’s been a month since we became a family of 4, and it has been fun getting to know our sweet boy! It has definitely been an adjustment for all of us from functioning on less sleep, nursing frequently, soothing fussiness, and all that comes with transitioning from 1 to 2 children. I’m so grateful to be able to raise this boy and have loved being able to slow down and soak in this stage the past month. I’m ready to see what next month brings and am planning on gradually being more active on this page as we continue to figure out life with 2 littles and getting back into a fitness routine! 😊 #newborn #momoftwo #postpartum #postpartumjourney #postpartumfitness #fitmama #healthandwellness #healthylifestyle

TRANSITION Defined as the final stage of established labour, where the body is making the transition from the opening of the cervix to the baby moving down the birth path to be born. Not defined by numbers or times or centimeters, but more by your body language, behaviours and sounds! Common phrases heard during transition: • “I can’t do this anymore!” • “Give me an epidural!” • “I want to go home!” • “I’m dying!” The intensity and overwhelm is REAL! During transition, and in the final stages of labour, your body produces a huge surge of adrenaline to literally carry you over the finish line (much like marathon runners in the final 100m of their race! ). It is an evolutionary function to get you through, but can result in total restlessness, intensity and feelings of loss of control. We get excited by transition as midwives as it means your baby is nearly here! But it’s pretty bloomin’ intense for those going through it - although it doesn’t last long. Top tips for transition (get your birth partner to remember these! ): • Rest • Position changes • Hydration • Words of encouragement - you CAN do this! • Change your breathing to downwards (aka ‘down’ breathing ) • Try touch, massage (may be too intense for some women ) • KEEP GOING! - you’re SO nearly there! Can you remember transition, and what did it feel like to you? Post written by May at @positivebirthjersey . #Repost @positivebirthjersey ・・・ . . Just turn up the volume and move your body. I can easily operate from a place of stress and anxiety as I witnessed my mom do growing up due to her circumstances. Although my parents gave me the best childhood they could showering us with love and support, we struggled financially to the point of being homeless several times. I don’t even know how my parents still made life enjoyable and positive through it all. Living in a car and in and out of motels for periods of time with 4 kids would challenge me to my core. My mom is an amazing women and is an utter inspiration to me. She is the strongest person I know. So with this programming, I have to be extra mindful of my default mentality. It’s ok to feel the highs and lows but not dwelling in those spaces for too long. Staying in a constant state of stress zaps my energy and keeps me unmotivated. Dis-ease causes disease. Although, what is happening in our current state is overwhelming and scary, we need to remember that life will always be an ebb and flow of high, lows, and everything in between. The only constant is change and the common denominator is how we react to these external experiences. Everything changes when I’m able to breathe deeply, pray daily, and give it up to God. Although, the current events can be overwhelming, there is still so much beauty to be thankful for. Breath guided movement regulates my autonomic nervous system when tensions are high, keeps me grounded and allows me to have a greater connection to God. It makes that light at the end of the tunnel shine a little brighter. This is a crazy time. We need to connect to spirit more than ever. How are you coping during this time? What keeps you grounded and connected? #godisgood #jesusislove #holyspirit #yoga #yogaeverydamnday #mindfulnesspractice #mindfulmovement #veganmom #motherhood #postpartum #postpartumbody #breatheinbreatheout #yogalove

💕Postpartum Journey💕 Postpartum recovery is a mix of so many emotions!! The love I have for my son was so instantaneous and intense, and caring for him is the greatest thing I’ve ever done. But loving my pp body? Not so much. Looking in the mirror, the only things I see are my bright purple stretch marks, the extra 10lbs I’m still carrying, and loose skin. There is so much pressure to get back to my body, as if by becoming a mother I somehow lost it. I’m so grateful to have connected with other new mothers who have shape my mindset into something much healthier and happier. ☺️ My health and fitness journey is about getting back to my body because I never lost it! The 30 mins I carve out each day for myself are EVERYTHING, and I’m so blessed to have the support of other amazing mothers like @molly .asplin and @katy .fassett 💕💕 How many other mamas can relate?? #postpartum #postpartumbody #12weekspostpartum #backtomybody

WHAT ARE THOOOSE?! K, now that you got that out of your system, the answer is… vaginal dilators! These are often recommended to people experiencing pain with vaginal penetration. If your physician recommended these but didn’t necessarily explain why or how to use them, you are not alone. Patients often come to pelvic floor therapy with these in tow looking like a deer in headlights. The ones here (courtesy of @intimaterose ) come in a progression of sizes, so whether you’re experiencing pain with intercourse, inserting menstrual products or pelvic exams that involve a speculum, you can work up to the size that matches your functional goals. Dilators do NOT literally “dilate” the vagina. Your vagina will not STAY stretched out after using them. The concept that vaginas become “looser” the more sexually active you are or the more babies you birth is a harmful misconception fed to us by—you guessed it—the patriarchy. The actual purpose of using dilators is to train your pelvic floor muscles to relax when pressure or stretch is applied during insertion. How to you train your muscles to relax? By practicing regulation of your NERVOUS SYSTEM. Here’s how: ◆ The nervous system (aka all our nerves + the spinal cord ) is the connection between our physical body & our brain. ◆ It carries signals from our tissues to our brain which processes this information & triggers a response. ◆ When pain is felt, our brain sends a response to protect us—think fight, flight or freeze. ◆ When pain is persistent, this system can become very sensitive & over-protective, and even just the threat or possibility of pain can trigger this reaction. ◆ Over time, our muscles become over-active & develop a habit “guarding” in anticipation of pain—even if pain isn’t actually present or there is no physical injury or trauma involved. ◆ Dilators help decrease this guarding mechanism when used in a gentle, controlled & non-threatening manner. Dilators are tools, and they alone do not resolve pelvic pain. They should be used with intention and proper pelvic floor relaxation techniques, so consult with a pelvic floor PT for guidance! #sexualhealthawarenessmonth #pelvicpain #vaginaldilators

“Be the kind of woman that makes other women want to up their game.” – Boss Babe I used to have terrible imposter syndrome. I didn’t feel like I had my stuff together enough, no one would want to see what I had to share, I wasn’t as cool as the women I was following. Then I got to talk to a whole bunch of women I was beyond impressed by, and I was shocked to find they felt the same inadequacies I did! I learned that they just decided to show up despite their fears because it was how they held themselves accountable in the pursuit of their goals. I am beyond thankful for the women who have inspired me to up my game!! #mompreneur #momlife #girlboss #strongasamotherrunner #fitmom #postpartumfitness #postpartumbody #instarunners #postpartum #entrepreneur #ootd #supportsmallbusiness #momblogger #boymom #shop #shopping #bossbabe #smile #marketing #instagram #darling #fashionable

After a cesarean, many people find it incredibly hard to look at, touch, or even think about their scar. It’s not unusual and if this is you, you are most certainly not alone. . So much emotion around our scars. I know this first-hand; after my first child was born via cesarean, I didn’t have any feeling/sensation around my scar for almost a year. Nobody really talked to me about that. And nobody really normalized the often huge and conflicting emotions I was feeling around my birth experience; guilt, joy, shame, relief, disappointment, resignation, anger, awe. . Twelve years, two VBACs and a decade of doula work later, I was inspired to get involved with the non-profit ICAN @icanbirth (the International Cesarean Awareness Network ) and I’m excited to be leading the SF/North Bay Chapter. This is a free resource for anyone feeling the need for connection, community and healing in a safe, judgment free space. . We warmly invite all cesarean (and VBAC! ) families to join us for our free monthly zoom circle on Sunday (Oct 4th ) 10am-11.30am. . This month we’ll be real-talking about recovery, as well as creating and holding space for your birth stories. . Details here; https://facebook.com/events/s/ican-bay-area-virtual-meeting/1066378443821125/?ti=icl . Wise words from the wonderful Meg Nagle ❤️ “It always breaks my heart when a woman says during a consultation, “Well, it’s just my first baby though so I don’t know.” The thing is, you know more than you’re giving yourself credit for. You know when your baby is unwell or not. You know what makes your baby happy. You know when your baby needs a cuddle or a breastfeed. You know when the advice you’ve been given is horrible because your baby doesn’t respond well to it. You know more than you think. And it doesn’t matter that there will still be some stuff you don’t know because you’ll figure it out… as long as you trust your instincts and follow the lead of your baby. Being confident to trust your parenting instincts will help you as they grow too. It just take some practice.” Meg @themilkmeg 📷❤️ - @sarahconlan_photographer . . . . . . . . #beyondsleeptraining #tbstp #littlesparklers #thebeyondsleeptrainingproject #bedsharing #cosleeping #babysleep #infantsleep #toddlersleep #safebedsharing #sleeptraining #babysleep #parenting #gentleparenting #peacefulparenting #parenthood #mumlife #motherhood #fatherhood #attachmentparenting #gentleparents #dad #dadlife #momlife #infantsleep #postpartum #postpartummentalhealth #postpartumbody

Welcome to Mental Health Month, Canberra! We've got so much planned for October, starting with #thatsnormalMHM 'What's normal?', you ask yourself and that's exactly what we'll be answering all month. Those questions you ask yourself about pregnancy, motherhood and partnership and all of the thoughts and feelings that come along with your journey to becoming a parent. You can share your own questions by sending us a DM (don't worry, we'll only be posting Q&As anonymously ). We want parents, partners and families in Canberra who might not yet know enough about perinatal anxiety and depression to know how they're feeling is normal, and talking about it or asking for help is the first step to making things better. Know someone who might like what we're posting? Tag them, or click that little 'share' button to let them know you're thinking about them and their wellbeing. As always, you can find out more about us at www.perinatalwellbeingcentre.org.au and definitely keep an eye on our socials all October for more info on the exciting things we've got planned! #mentalhealthmonthACT #mentalhealthmonth2020 #anxiety #depression #parenthood #motherhood #canberramums #canberralife #postpartum

NO longer hurting #myself to keep others satisfied. Been feeling I guess what they call #postpartum #depression BUT I refuse to victimize self. This too shall pass. & I have #strangers to thank for that because, while feeling #lonely , #unattractive , #ugly , #exhausted , #unattended , #bothered , at times #unhappy & most importantly not loved; I keep getting reminded how beautiful I am in & out & out at times were I see myself and don’t feel like it because, I have no make on, where I can see my dark circles my few freckles & uneven skin. I am getting the #attention although is not from the place where I would like it from it feels great tho to know I still got it, eventhough I just had a baby 2 months ago. Also, getting the rest I needed lately & getting to the point of being #unbothered & finding my way to #happiness once again to #feelingloved again by my own self. I say this because in the end you are your only salvation in madness if you allow higher power to help you will succeed & beat anything. Key is to not give whatever the situation maybe the power to overrule you because if you do it just gets worse. #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthisimportant #lovingyouiseasy #lovingyouispriority #warriorspirit

(pic on left was the morning i was induced - 41w2d, pic on right was two days ago ) WHAT?! seems like yesterday but also a lifetime ago. /// my postpartum journey + experience has been interesting - to say the least. the first two weeks are literally a blur. it’s hard to remember, tbh. i blacked out lol. i was so busy physically + emotionally that it was hard for me to sit down + process what had actually happened to me and my body. and even though i was in labor for 20 hours and pushed for 5, my recovery was relatively easy. it wasn’t until about a month ago when i REALLY started to reflect on my pregnancy and birthing experience. /// it’s a spiritual awakening of sorts; morphing into something different and NEW. and, that’s what i was afraid of the most going into pregnancy - the fact that my body was going to be rapidly changing. i was really nervous on how i was going to handle that. i grew to love my belly (which now looking at this pic makes me realize HOW BIG i actually was lol ), my body and it’s capability to provide nourishment for not only me, but for my growing baby as well! /// flash forward to now - 3 months postpartum. i am finding my “old self” again but a new and improved version...a mentally tougher yet softer and vulnerable version. i am enjoying the process of getting my body back - not only so i can feel good/confident in my own skin, but because the process is HARD WORK. being pregnant (esp the last month...FUCK ME! ) and giving birth was the hardest thing i have ever gone through, so when it was over it left me feeling like “what’s next?” . *continued in comments*

I couldn’t imagine life without these two. Love being their mommy. 💛 They are my reason I go so hard each day. #nationalsonday

. . . #ad #teamfabletics #fableticsde #fableticsleggings #fabletics #afterbabybody #afterbaby #postpartumbody #postpartum #postpartumfitness #mama #mamaleben #mamasein #mamaalltag #mamablogger_de #mamaliebe #mamalebeninbildern #fitnesslifestyle #fitnessmama #fashion #fashionblogger #fashioninspo #fashionblogger_de #mrslittleshoes

Hello sweet love! Sometimes the babies come early but slow. This little love came before her guess date but then had a long journey in labor. She came in with her feet pointed in the direction of promise and hope, the energy that babies bring in with them. It took some time for her to come through the sacred portal. When she did and those little feet were kicking, she could not wait to tell anyone who would listen the tale of her journey, there was a celebration in the room. That is the only way to describe it. A celebration in the birth of a beautiful black baby girl!! Celebrating the triumph of the Mother. Celebrating a overall sense of satisfaction and purpose that came to all of us. Welcome family! . . . #birth #baby #doula #postpartum #newborn #pregnancy

20 days of Zoe 💓 Thank you for all the love you’ve sent us, we’re feeling it 💓 There’s so much I want to share with you....Zoe’s birth, becoming a mummy, Zoe & big brother Bacon, the love, breastfeeding (Jonas has given me a cow name, it’s MooLah 😂 ), the poops 💩, the crying, the cuddling, taking it slow, the feeling of not really being ready to share Zoe with the world until now.......that I don’t really know where to start. At least this is a little start....💓 #newborn #zoe #baby #babygirl #itsagirl #newmummy #newbornbaby #love #birth #cuddles #zoeandbacon #bacon #naptime #minidachshund #dachshund #dachshundlove #thankyou #gratitude #fourthtrimester #postpartumjourney #postpartum #stockholm #sweden
